OBITUARY - ERVIN STEPHENS.

Albert "Ervin" STEPHENS, son of R. B. and Barbara (FISHER) STEPHENS, was born March 27th, 1857, at Fort Defiance, Ohio, and passed away November 2nd, 1922, aged sixty-five years, seven months and five days. In 1859 he with his parents moved to Linn county, Iowa, and after two years moved to Wapello county, Iowa, later coming to Ringgold county, Iowa, where he has since resided with the exception of six months spent at Briston, Indana (sic), territory.

On April 16th, 1890, he was united in marriage to Luella J. REED, who passed away October 2, 1919. The same fall he with his children moved to their present home.

In 1903 he united with the Methodist church and has since lived a consistent christian life.

He leaves to mourn their loss three children, Raleigh, who is married, Laura and Mary, who are still in the home and his two grandchildren, his aged mother, two brothers, George R. and Franklin C., who reside at Oklahoma City, Okla., and a host of friends.

NOTE: Luella Jennie (REED) STEPHENS was born in Illinois in 1862, and died on October 2, 1919, with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery beside her husband Ervin. Luella and Ervin were the parents of five children, two dying in infancy.
