Sandra SMITH, 66, of Blockton died March 8, 2004, at Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, at the Christian Church in Blockton. The Rev. Scott MARCUM will officiate the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Blockton. Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. today at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa.
Mrs. SMITH, daughter of Pearle Elien (BEADLE) and Orlin James BYERS, was born October 25, 1937, at Lenox. On July 5, 1956, she married Leonard Ralph SMITH in Warsaw, Mo. She worked as a nurses aid at Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr and EMT in Blockton.
Survivors include two children, Rick (wife Rose) SMITH of Creston and Kim (husband Jim) WALKER of Council Bluffs; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
