OBITUARY - ESTHER IVA (JAMES) HACKER

Esther Iva HACKER, daughter of Ray William James and Gussie (ARNOLD) JAMES, was born February 16, 1916 at Chugwater, Wyoming. Esther graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1936. On July 10, 1937, she was united in marriage to Cleo P. HACKER in Creston. Esther was a homemaker; a member of the First Christian Church, TOPS, COPS, and the Garden Club. Esther passed away at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr on March 14, 2007.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Cleo on July 30, 2003; 2 step-sons Paul "Pete" HACKER and Vernon Lee HACKER; 2 sisters, Zola JAMES and Dorothy RANDOLPH.

Survivors include her children, Lyndon (Jan) HACKER of San Diego, CA, Leila (Marlin) NIDAY of Marengo, IA, and Juanita (John) SICKELS of Mount Ayr; 13 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; 1 brother Lawrence (Audrey) JAMES of Marysville, KS; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services were held on Sunday, March 18, 2007, at 1:00 p.m., Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
