OBITUARY - PAUL J. "PETE" HACKER

Paul J. "Pete" HACKER, son of Cleo & Lena (LEEPER) HACKER, was born March 8, 1932 at Mount Ayr, Iowa. He married Marilyn WATTS and two children were born to this marriage. Pete and Marilyn later divorced. Pete was a Forman for a Gas & Light Company in Atchison, Kansas. Pete was stricken with Multiple Scoliosis and was forced to quit work. Pete moved back to Iowa in 1960 and has lived in Mount Ayr since the mid 1960's. Pete has lived the last several years at Clearview Home and he passed away at Clearview on January 8, 2007.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sisters; a brother Vernon Lee HACKER; and his wife Marilyn.

Survivors include his son Dan and daughter Floy Jean; several grandchildren & great grandchildren; two sisters Leila NIDAY & husband Marlin of Marengo, Iowa and Juanita SICKELS & husband John of Mount Ayr; brother Lyndon HACKER & wife Jan of San Diego, CA; uncle Leo "Jocko" HACKER & wife Eleanor of Mesa, AZ; cousin Vernadean BUCHAN of Jenke, Oklahoma; other relatives & friends.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, January 11, 2007, at 1:30 p.m., Watterson Cemetery south of Mount Ayr, Iowa.
