OBITUARY - MRS. MYRTLE McGEHEE.

Myrtle E. WHEELER-McGEHEE, daughter of Charles and Amelia WHEELER, was born in Taylor county, Iowa, December 14, 1879, and died after a brief illness at her home east of Mount Ayr, March 1, 1923, aged fifty-two years, two months and fourteen days. She was united in marriage to J. Franklin McGEHEE, February 22, 1894. They made their home at Maloy, iowa, living there four years, then moving near Mount Ayr, where they have since lived. There were born to this union four children - three sons and on (sic) daughter, Miles who dies in infancy, Ward O. and Mrs. Mayme DUGAN, both of Mount Ayr, and Kenneth at home.

She leaves to mourn their loss her sorrowing husband, two sons, her daughter and her aged mother and one brother, C. H. WHEELER, of Mount Ayr, five grand children and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was a dear, loving wife, a dear mother and grandmother, thinking only of her family. She was a true friend and neighbor, always ready to help in sickness or trouble.

She was a member of the Madaline Rebekah lodge No. 520, of Mount Ayr.

The funeral services were held at the Baptist church March 3, 1923, conducted by Rev. Orr CAMPBELL, of Humeston, and the reamins were laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery.

He can all our sorrow heal

NOTE: John Franklin McGEHEE, husband of Myrtle E. (WHEELER), was born on June 25, 1870, and died January 22, 1944 with interment beside his wife, Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa. Kenneth, son of Myrtle E. (WHEELER) and John Franklin McGEHEE, was born on October 3, 1911.
