DEATH of Mrs. J. D. MARSHALL.

Mrs. J. D. MARSHALL of Benton township, died at her home at 4 o'clock a. m. on Monday, April 17. She had been sick during the winter with grip, but her condition had not been deemed serious until Friday,w hen she was taken worse and never rallied. She was about 50 years of age. As a member of the M. E. church and Sunday school she took delight in the duties devolving upon her, and was a faithful efficient worker. She leaves a husband and three daughters to mourn her loss.

The funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 11 o'clock from the M. E. church in Benton, and the interment was made in the Benton cemetery.

NOTE: Mary E. (HACKETT), wife of John D. MARSHALL, was born on December 22, 1852, and died on April 17, 1899. John D. MARSHALL was born on March 14, 1848, and died on December 27, 1929 with interment at Benton Cemetery, Benton, Ringgold County, Iowa.
