OBITUARY - JEMIMA JANE SIGNOR MARK

Jemima Jane (SIGNOR) MARK was born in New York, Oct. 30, 1825. Heeding the divine injunction she gave her heart to God in her youth, at the age of 15, and united with our church, to which she was true to the end.

She was united in marriage with Wm. F. MARK on March 30, 1842. Their united life was blessed with eight children, four sons and four daughters. Her children: Louisa ELLIOTT, Melissa HENSHAW, Charles Emory, John Wesley, Sarah Jane, Miles Gilbert, Wm. Fletcher Jr., Araminta. Of the sixty years of married life she shared the sorrows and joys of the itinerate Methodist preacher’s life for more than 40 years. Her end was full of peace and she fell asleep in Jesus May 12, 1901.

The funeral services were conducted from the Kellerton Iowa church by her pastor, C. KNOLL. Burial was at Maple Row Cemetery, Kellerton IA.
