OBITUARY - NATHANIEL MANNING.

Nathaniel MANNING, son of Jacob and Rachel MANNING, was born in Wayne county, Indiana, January 16, 1853, and died at his home near Beaconsfield August 29, 1928, age 75 years, seven months and 13 days. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth GORMAN,a nd one brother, Amos MANNING, two sisters and one brother having preceded him in death. In 1854 he moved with his parents to Decatur county, Iowa, where he grew to manhood. On March 6, 1887, he was united in marriage to Sadie MILLER. TO this union were born Ethel, Ernest, Cairo and Lawrence, all living. In 1897 he united with the United Brethren church at Beaconsfield and remained a faithful christian throughout his life. He was a lover of home, kind and good to his family and all he met. Besides his immediate family he leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn.

NOTE: Nathaniel MANNING was interred at Maple Row Cemetery, Kellerton, Ringgold County, Iowa. Nathaniel's brother John M. MANNING was born on August 13, 1851, and died on February 27, 1907 with interment at Maple Row Cemetery. Cairo E. MANNING, daughter of Nathaniel and Sadie (MILLER) MANNING, was born in 1894, and died in 1973 with interment at Maple Row Cemetery.
