OBITUARY - MRS. O. L. MARKHAM.

Mrs. O. L. MARKHAM was born in Leon May 8, 1868, and died of consumption at her home in Mt. Ayr, Thursday, July 31, 1899, aged 31 years, two months and five days. Her maiden name was Jessie MARTIN. She graduated from the Leon schools in 1886, and was married the same year to O. L. MARKHAM. A daughter, Merle, was born to them and survives. The family came to Mt. Ayr in 1894. Mrs. MARKHAM was a member of the Methodist church and a faithful worker for the Master. The funeral services were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m., from the Methodist church by her pastor, Rev. H. P. DUDLEY. The interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery [Mount Ayr].
