SAD ACCIDENT.

On the 18th of April, Mr. Daniel LIPE, who was working on a steam mill in the northeast part of the county, was caught by one of the belts of the mill and mangled fearfully. The physicians were called immediately, but on arriving found that the only thing left for them to do was to aputate his leg close to the thigh joint, upon that conclusion the operation was performed, but as he was injuried internally he did not survive the operation. He died the 20th, only living two days. This is certainaly a sad affair, and warns us of the danger connected with machinery run by steam.
