OBITUARY.

Mrs. Nancy Catherine, wife of Wm. D. LINK, died on Thursday, September 19th, aged 42 years, 4 months and 29 day.(sic)

This death was a sad event to the friends and the whole community. Mrs. LINK leaves a husband and six children to mourn her loss and remember her virtues. Mrs. LINK's maiden name was MILLER, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. MILLER of Clinton township. She was born in Rockbridge county, Virginia, April 20, 1853. With her parents she moved to Iowa in 1857 and settled in the southwestern part of Ringgold county, where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Mr. LINK August 28, 1878. She professed her faith in Christ and united with the United Brethren church in early life, and lived a godly life, and died a triumphant death. In the trials of life she exhibited faith, courage [illegible] large measure. She leaves a large circle of relatives and friends, to all of whom her memory is dear. Her brothers and sisters were all present at the time of her death. The funeral service was held at the residence of J. A. MILLER and was conducted by her pastor, Rev. W. F. WALLACE, and the remains were laid in the Blockton cemetery [Blockton, Taylor County, Iowa].
