OBITUARY.

W[arren]. B. LEWIS was born in Wyoming county N.Y., Nov. 4th 1860, and died of that dreaded disease, typhoid fever, after an illness of five or six weeks, Oct 11, 1888. The deceased was the youngest of eight children, and when four years of age moved, with the family then living, all, of whom survive him, to Columbia county, Wis. The next year the family moved to Dane county, which bounds Columbia county on the south, where they lived till 1884 when he came to Ringgold county in company with his brother, C. S. LEWIS. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his death, who have the sympathy of kind neighbors and friends. His parents, brother and sisters were telegraphed, but sickness prevented all but his oldest sister from being present at the funeral, which took place Sunday, Oct., 14 in Ringgold Chapel. Rev. M. S. EVANS, the pastor, presented a touching sermon to a large and attentive congregation of neighbors, friends and mourners, from these words: "Because I live, ye shall live also" - Jno. 14:19.

NOTE: Warren B. LEWIS was the son of Asa B. LEWIS and Polly (PHILLIPS) LEWIS. Warren was interred at Ringgold Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa.
