OBITUARY.

Mrs. Mary L. LEWIS wife of B. L. LEWIS of Redding died Sabbath night, February 18, 1894, at 8:30 o'clock of Puerperal fever, aged 22 years, 11 months and 11 days. Her maiden name was Mary Lanna DARROUGH. She was born in Iowa county, Wisconsin, March 7, 1871. Her mother died when she was two years old and she was raised by her grandmother, Mrs. Jane DARROUGH who survives her and is now with her son in Redding. They moved to Iowa years ago, and thence to Kansas. Miss Mary Lenna DARROUGH was married to B. L. LEWIS at Colby, Kansas, April 10, 1887 and they came to Redding, September, 1893. She leaves three little ones, the baby ten days old, the next about 19 months and the oldest about four years old, and a husband to mourn her loss. They have the sympathy of all. She had never made a public profession of her faith in Christ but on Sabbath morning before her death she professed her acceptance of Christ as her Savior and her hope of salvation and we hope she is blessed. Her bereaved grandmother and all her relatives have the sympathy of many friends. Her remains were interred in the grave yard near Mr. BENNETT'S, Feb. 19, 1894.

NOTE: Mary L. LEWIS was interred at Oak Ridge (a.k.a. Forrest Home) Cemetery), Ringgold County, Iowa.
