Times-Leader:--Albert F. Shifflet died of lung and liver trouble at his home in Malcom, Sunday evening at 7 o'clock, aged 42 years. He was born in Bureau county, Illinois, in 1853, where he resided till 1880, when he moved to this township and settled on the farm now owned by Mr. Lamb, where he lived three years and then moved to his farm on the state road where he resided until about six weeks ago, when he moved to town. He was married in 1880 the same year he came west, to Miss Margaret Corrough, who with two sons, Glen and Wade, aged 14 and 12 years survive him. He was a member of the Presbyterian church of this city. The funeral took place Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., from the Presbyterian church, the services being conducted by Rev. J.L. Gage. His father, Nelson Shifflet arrived Sunday morning from Illinois just in time to be recongnized by Frank who went into an unconscious state in which he remained until his death occurred. His brother and sister from Illinois arrived at noon but Frank was unable to recognize them. His remains were laid to rest in the Malcom cemetery and were followed by a large number of sympathizing friends. The bereaved wife and children have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in this sad hour of their bereavement.
