OBITUARY

JOHN F. REITER

John F. Reiter was born in Piqua, Ohio, Sept. 3, 1847, where he grew to manhood. In 1873 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth A. Anderson, of Piqua, Ohio. The following few years were spent on a farm near Lynnville, Iowa, where the three children were born: Harry of Inglewood, Cal., Charles of Twin Falls, Ida., and Mary, who died in '99.

The past thirty years have been spent in this city where a life of industry and honesty have earned him the respect and esteem of all who knew him.

His aged mother, two brothers, M.P. Reiter of Grinnell, and W.B. Reiter, of Canon City, Colo., with one sister, Mrs. A.J. Neely, of Grinnell, live to mourn with the two sons, the death of the loved one.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.M. Brown of the M.E. church, on Feb. 21, at the home of A.J. Neely.
