OBITUARY

MRS. WILLIAM MEANOR

Margaret Miller was born at Big Run, Jefferson County, Pennyslvania, October 20, 1842, where she lived until she came to Orion, Henry County, Illinois, in 1864. There she was married September 6, 1866 to William Meanor. To them were born eight children, four of whom have preceded her to the Promised Land, one Anson E. Meanor, who died recently Jan. 9, 1917, at his home in New York City. Later the family moved to Newburg, Ia., then to Grinnell, where she had resided until her death Dec. 3, 1917, after a lingering illness. Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn their loss one son, John M. Meanor of Ottumwa, Ia., three daughters, Mrs. Earl M. Neely of Grinnell, Mrs., Mabel Perry and Rena Meanor of Omaha, Neb., two sisters of Big Run, Pa., and eight grandchildren.

Her constant care was for the comfort of her husband and family, and we shall miss her.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, at the home of Mrs. E.M. Neely on Summer street, conducted by Rev. E.M. Vittum of the Congregational church.
