OBITUARY.

MRS. MARY JONES

Mrs. Mary Jones was born in Ohio Nov. 29, 1850, and moved to Iowa with her parents when but a child. She resided near New Sharon until 1885 when she moved with her family to Grinnell and has made her home here ever since.

At the age of seventeen she joined the Congregational church and has been a member ever since. For a number of years she has been a sufferer from gall stones and on account of ill health has made her home for the past two years with her daughter, Mrs. Orris Brown, at whose home she passed away May 12th.

She leaves to mourn her loss four daughters and two sons, Mrs. H.R. Preston, of Chicago, Mrs. B.F. Kiner of Pennsylvania, Mrs. H. Brown, Mrs. Orris Brown and Edward and Will of Grinnell, all of whom were at her bedside when death came.

The funeral services were held May 12, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Orris Brown, conducted by Rev. E. Handy, and interment was made at Hazelwood cemetery.
