Joint graveside memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at Woodland Cemetery in Lynnville for Dale W. Glascock, who died Feb. 13, 1999, and his wife, Ivo I. Quire Glascock, who died Jan. 28, 1993.

The Rev. Martin Miller of the Lynnville Friends Church will officiate, and the Harden Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Dale William Glascock was born July 17, 1906, in Audubon and was the son of William and Emma Glascock.

He was a 1928 graduate of Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine. After practicing in Iowa, he became a U.S. Department of Agriculture meat inspector. He was the inspector in charge at Chicago and the officer in charge at the Nebraska State Department of Agriculture in Omaha.

He was married to Ivo Quire May 21, 1932, in Rapid City, S.D. He was a member of the American Veterinary Association, the AMVA Council and the Faith United Presbyterian Church. He retired to Sun City, Ariz., in 1971.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sons, Donald and Richard; and one sister, Lois.

Ivo Irene Quire Glascock was born Aug. 10, 1909, in Taintor and was the daughter of Dr. Frank and Kittie Quire. She was a graduate of William Penn College in Oskaloosa and earned her master's degree at Columbia Teachers College in New York.

She was married to Dale William Glascock May 21, 1932, in Rapid City, S.D. A teacher for 25 years, she was a member of the Eastern Star, White Star of Jerusalem, Pi Lambda Theta, AAUW and the Faith Presbyterian Church. She retired with her husband to Sun City, Ariz., in 1971.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Donald and Richard; one sister, Reba; and one brother, Charles.
