Note: His wife was Jessie Spaulding Kendrick. Kendrick was the last name of her first husband whom I think she divorced. I think she had five children with her first husband. Spalding is her maiden name. This couple had twin daughters of their own Carrie and Corrine.

AKRON, Ia. – Special:

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rossow funeral home for Charles D. McCambridge, 76, longtime Akron resident who died Wednesday at the Veterans hospital in Sioux Falls.

Rev. David Roy will officiate and burial will be in Riverside cemetery.

He was born June 7, 1886, in Omaha. Survivors include members of his family.

DEATH COMES TO UNION COUNTY MAN

Last Rites Are Held Saturday Afternoon For. Chas. McCambridge

Charles McCambridge departed this life at the Veterans’ Hospital in Sioux Falls, S. D., Wednesday, November 28, 1962, after an illness of a few months’ duration. He was 76 years, 5 months and 21 days of age.

Charles D. McCambridge was born in Omaha, Nebr., June 7, 1886. During his life he lived in many and varied places until he came in the Akron Community, where he has lived for the last twenty years. For a number of years he has lived just across the Big Sioux river from Akron, in Union County, S. D. He served his country in the armed forces during World War I.

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, and other relatives, whose friends extend sympathy in their bereavement.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Rossow Funeral Home, Rev. D. J. Roy officiating. Mrs. Stuart Harris was soloist and Mrs. Arnond Clark was accompanist.

Pall bearers were Velb Velton Barr, Claude Burris, Henry Elehacker, Alva Port, Avery Small and John Martin. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.
