Anna A. Kalas Rites Set Today

GLENDALE—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Nazarene church for Mrs. Anna A. Kalas 53 years old who died Tuesday nigh at the family home following a heart attack.

The Rev. A. Essley will officiate. The body will be sent to Le Mars, Ia., her former home, for burial. She came here a year ago from Milbank, S. D.

Those surviving are her husband Henry W. Kalas and two daughters, Mildred and Vera Kalas all of Glendale; and two sons, Harry KalasChicago, Ill., and Raymond Kalas Watson, Minn.

Due to the Kalas funeral, the Women’s Missionary Union of the First Baptist church has postponed its all-day meeting from today until next week.

Wife Of Former Stanton Pastor Dies In Arizona

Mrs. H. Kalas Was Member Of Well Known Plymouth County Family

Chas. Danne, residing at this city received word Wednesday of the death of his sister. Mrs. Kalas at Glendale Arizona.

Mrs. Kalas was the wife at Rev. Henry Kalas a former pastor of the Stanton Evangelical church. He served a number of parishes in the Evangelical conference and after leaving Plymouth county went to Bigstone City and Pipestone, Minn., and Milbank, S. D. The family later went to Arizona on account of the health of Rev. Kalas.

She is survived by her husband and four children, Rev. Harry Kalas of Big Sone City, Minn.; Mildred and Vera Kalas of Glendale, Ariz. She also leaves three brothers, Charles Danne, of Le Mars; Gus Danne and Will Danne of Stanton township; and two sisters. Mrs. Will Kemnitz of Pipestone, Minn.; and Mrs. George Burleigh, of Gordon, Neb.

The remains will be brought here for burial and the funeral will be held from the Danne home in this city, Tuesday afternoon.
