Note: Her mother's maiden name was Kalas. She was born April 23, 1906. She is buried in Le Mars Memorial Cemetery Le Mars, Iowa.

Esther Marie Kaelke, 91, of Glendale, a telephone operator for Sprint, died May 23, 1997. She was born in Merrill, Iowa.

Survivors include her sister, Leona Fear; four nieces; and four nephews.

Services 7 p.m. Thursday, Chapel of the Chimes, 7924 N. 59th Ave., Glendale, with visitation at 5 p.m. Contributions: Deer Valley Free Methodist Church, 4026 W. Acoma Drive, Phoenix, AZ 85023.
