Carol Johnson, 89, of Tompkins Memorial Health Center died Saturday, July 12, 1997.

Services were held Wednesday, July 16 at the Chapel on the Hill with the Rev. Jack Kable, Pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Akron, with the Rev. Allen L. Bidne officiating.

Carol Edwena Johnson was born Nov. 18, 1907, in Sterling, Neb. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Dorcas Circle. In 1990 she became a resident of Tompkins Health Center.

Survivors include two nieces, Sylvia Hawker, Greene, and Kay Gower, Duluth, inn.; two nephews, David Thomas, Riverton, Wyo. and Larry Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Carrie Boatsman Johnson: sisters, Margaret Thomas and Irma Johnson.
