Mildred Kaiser 84, Marcus

Mildred Kaiser, 84, Marcus, died Monday, Oct. 23, at the Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.

Funeral services will be at 10 a m. Thursday at the Peace Lutheran Church in Marcus. The Rev. Daniel Georg is officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie View Cemetery at Paullina. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday and the family will be present at the Nelson-Earnest Funeral Home in Marcus from 7 to 8.30 p.m.

She was the former Mildred Sophia Harms born Feb. 20, 1905, to John and Charlotte (Brinkman) Harms. She spent her childhood years living in the Granville and Marcus areas.

She married William Kaiser Feb. 21,1926, in Marcus. They farmed in the Marcus area until 1963 when they moved to Marcus.

She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church since it was founded in 1944 and was a member of the Ladies Aid of the church.

She is survived by two sons, Wilbur Harms of Marcus and Harold Harms, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; one sister, Evelyn Seel, Cherokee; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter and two brothers.
