R. H. Rogers Services Held Saturday at Presbyterian Church

Funeral services for R. H. Rogers, 51 longtime resident of Paullina, were held .at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Feb 16 at the First Presbyterian church with the Rev. L. R. Middens, pastor, in charge. A short service was held at the Roger's home at 1:30 p.m.

Burial was in Prairie View cemetery Pallbearers were Gus Marten, Hans Linder, Howard Tjossem, Carl Wesemann, Walter Cooper and Joe Robertson.

R. H. Rogers, a resident of Paullina for 30 years, died at the Brundage nursing home, Primghar, Monday, Feb. 11, 1952. He had been ill for three years.

He was born on September 3, 1900, at Calumet, the son of Asmus and Anna Rogers. His father preceded him in death in 1927. Receiving his elementary education in rural schools in Iowa and Minnesota, he stablished his residence in Paullina in 1921.

He was married Sept. 29, 1926 to Grace Anderson of Primghar.

Besides his widow, Mrs. Grace Rogers, he is survived by three children, Mrs. Loren Nielsen, (Phyllis), Mrs. Leslie Richter (Maxine), both of Paullina and Bennie, in the air corps, who will be stationed at the Weaver air force base, Rapid City, S. D., his mother, Mrs. Anna Rogers, Marcus; a sister, Mrs. Luella Rae, Marcus; and two grandchildren, Vance and Dona Jean Nielsen, Paullina.

A brother, Carl, died in 1947.

For many years, the deceased was engaged in the trucking and feed milling business, before being employed by the city at the municipal light plant.

He was well known in the Paullina community, was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and took an active interest in sports and all town activities.
