Services Held Saturday For Grace Rogers

Services for Mrs. Grace Rogers of Paullina were held Saturday, March 23 at the Presbyterian church in Paullina. Mrs. Rogers passed away March 20 at the Wide View Rest Home at the age of 70 years, 10 months, 8 days.

Rev. Robert Hickman was the clergyman. Pallbearers were John Schnoes, Vance Nielsen, Michael Johnson, Nick Rogers, Bill Rogers and Allyn Jones. Miss Kathleen Innis sang two solos with Mrs. Roy Ewoldt as organist. Burial was in the Prairie View cemetery at Paullina.

Grace Anderson Rogers was born May 12, 1903, the daughter of William and Catherine Anderson at Primghar.

She was married to Hans Reinhart Rogers at Spencer on September 29, 1926. Three children were born to this union. Mr. Rogers passed away in February 1952.

Mrs. Rogers was a schoolteacher at Alvord, Iowa and was a sixth grade teacher in the Paullina School from 1956 through 1968.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Phyllis - Mrs. Loren Nielsen of Birmingham, Alabama, Maxine (Deanie) - Mrs. Leslie Richter of Paullina, 1 son, Benjamin of Des Moines, 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, 4 sisters, Jesse, Mrs. Buell Traver of Paullina, Mae, Mrs. Wm. Johnson of Rapid City, South Dakota: Edith, Mrs. Horace Snyder of Aston, and Katherine, Mrs. Charles Lincoln of Des Moines.

She was preceded in death. by her husband, 4 brothers and 1 grandson.
