1904-1985
Funeral services were held Tuesday. Oct. 8,1985 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Primghar, for Richard C. Nagle. Rev. Anthony
Pick and Rev. Ronald Reicks officiated.
Honorary pallbearers were Arthur Bergen and Dr. E. B. Getty. Pallbearers were Harry Oosterhuis, Jerome Smith. Dale Parry, Arnold Charlton, Richard Sauer. and Wayne Andersen.
Chauffeur was Bill Wagner.
Hymns "Prayer of St. Francis", "All That I Am" "Be Not Afraid", "Panis Angelicus" and "Peace is Flowing Like a River " were accompanied by Mrs. Judy Sweeney.
Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Primghar,
with Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Richard C. Nagel, son of William and Josephine Conley Nagle, was born September 25, 1904 in Grand Ridge, Illinois. He attended schools in Illinois and later went on to attend Quincy
Business College in Quincy, Illinois.
On August 10, 1936 he was united in marriage to Leona Hart in Sanborn. After their marriage the
couple settled in Primghar where the Nagles owned and operated retirement in July of 1978. Dick passed away Friday, October 4, 1985 in Sioux Falls, reaching the age of 81 years and 10 days.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Primghar, the Knights of Columbus of Sheldon, and was a member of SCORE of Spencer.
Dick leaves to mourn his passing his wife,Leona of Primghar; one daughter, Mrs. Dale (Patricia) DeGroot of Sioux Falls. S.D.; one brother,
William Nagle of Toledo, la.; two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Turner and Miss Josephine Nagle, both of Ogden, Ut.; also many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Tom
