Funeral Services Held Tuesday for Ida Warnke

Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Warnke were held on Tuesday. May 11 at the Zion Lutheran Church of Paullina. Mrs. Warnke passed away on Sunday May 9 at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 24 days at the Baum Harmon Hospital in Primghar.

Rev. Donald Johnson officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Vernon Hibbing, Herbert Hibbing, Reinhard Hibbing, Charles Hibbing, Earl Hibbing and Francis Pauling. The congregation sang two hymns with Norwald Behrens as the organist. Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery near Paullina with Sanborn Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ida Anna Hibbing daughter of Henry and Emma Hibbing was born in Caledonia Township near Paullina on May 15 1904. She lived her youth attended rural school and grew to young womanhood in this vicinity.

She was united in marriage to Richard Warnke of Paullina on June 24 1923 at Paullina. After their marriage they farmed near Paullina and in 1940 they moved into town.

Her husband Richard preceded her in death on May 17, 1963 and she continued to make her home in Paullina after his death until Feb 16, 1979 when she entered the Prairie View Retirement Home in Sanborn. She lived there until the time of her death at the Baum Harmon Hospital in Primghar on May 9, 1982.

Ida was baptized on June 5 1904 at St. John Lutheran Church of Germantown and confirmed on April 1, 191? [illegible]. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Paullina.

She is survived by two children, Kenneth of Sanborn and Beverly (Mrs. Roger Anderson) of Ankeny, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers, Ernest of Paullina and Edward of Long Beach, California and one sister Ella (Mrs. Orville Hatfield) of Paullina.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Richard.
