DALTON "PAT" PERRY
1907-1996
Funeral services for Dalton "Pat" Perry were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 1996 a St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Primghar. Father Gerald Zeman officiated. "On Eagle's Wings" was
sung by Loreta Berkland and Bobbie Snow; "Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden" were sung by St. Anthony's Church Choir, accompanied by Toni Bart. Lector was Bill Thompson.
Casket bearers were Glen Nasers, Ben Green, Harold Curtis, Clark Lattin, Juan Ochoa and Kevin Bryngelson.
Final resting place was at Calvary Cemetery,
Primghar, with Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Dalton "Pat" Perry, the son of Henry and
Katherine Pendergast Perry, was born June 30, 1907 in Rossburg, Mn. He worked as a farm hand in the Minnesota area and went to North Dakota for harvesting.
On May 25, 1943 he was united in marriage to Beatrice Sanbeck in Kalispell, Montana
The couple moved to Aitken, Minnesota where he was employed by the Northern Pacific Railroad as a section hand.
In 1956 he was involved in a tractor accident
after which he was employed at a dairy farm for several years.
The couple moved to Sibley in 1970 and in 1993 moved to Worthington, Minnesota.
They became residents of the Primghar Care Center in September of 1995.
He passed away there on Monday, March 18. 1996. reaching the age of 88 years, eight months and 18 days.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Primghar.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Beatrice of Primghar; four sons, David and his wife Deb Perry of Primghar, Michael Perry of
Aitken, Minnesota, Edward and his wife Shirley Perry of East Otto, New York, and John and his
wife Dawn Perry of Big Lake, Minnesota; three daughters, Carol and her husband John Weber of Myrtle, Minnesota, Phyllis Nash of Aitken,
Minnesota, and Julie and her husband Francis Majerus of Worthington, Minnesota; 26 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers. Harry Perry of Aitken. Minnesota,
Richard Morris and Ray Morris, both of Aitken; one sister. Mrs. Mildred Howard of Brainerd, Minnesota; also nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and five sister
O'Brien County Bell Primghar, O'Brien County, Iowa
