Services held for Daniel C. Struve, Sr.

Funeral services for Daniel C. Struve, Sr., were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 1990, at the First Presbyterian Church in Paullina, Iowa, with the Rev. Gregory Bock officiating.

The honorary pallbearers were Jan Feldotto, Peg Spaan, Barb Busch-Mott and Lauri Struve. The pallbearers were Mark Struve, Paul Struve, Chad Feldotto, Gregg Struve, Mike Busch and Corrie Feldotto.

The final resting place is Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina, Iowa, under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Daniel Chris Struve, the son of Fred and Sophia Struve, was born March 14, 1900, near Granville, Iowa. He received his education in O'Brien County rural schools. On June 10, 1924, he was united in marriage to Elsie Nielsen in Paullina. After their marriage, the couple settled on a farm north of Paullina where they farmed for many years. When the couple retired, they moved into Paullina. They remained at the family home where Dan passed away on Friday, September 28, 1990, reaching the age of 90 years, 6 months and 14 days.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Paullina since 1930 and held various offices in the church. He was active for many years in both bowling and golf leagues.

Dan leaves to cherish his memory his wife Elsie of Paullina; one daughter and son-in-law, Maxine and Allen Busch of Paullina; one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Jean Struve Jr. of Paullina; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; also a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and three brothers.
