Services Held Monday For Mrs. John Beerman [Beermann]

Funeral services for Mrs. John Beermann were held Monday Oct. 27 at 11 am at the Zion Lutheran Church of Paullina. Mrs. Beermann had been in failing health for several years.

Rev. Melvin Thur, pastor of the church officiated. Pallbearers were Eugene Schuknecht, Vernon Hibbing, Russell Dornbusch, William Simm, Henry Fiddelke and Edward Beermann.

Mrs. James Meyer was organist as the congregation sang, 'What a Friend We Have in Jesus' and 'Be Still My Soul'.

Final resting place was Prairie View Cemetery at Paullina.

Obituary

Anna M. Beermann, the daughter of Louis Oldewourtel and Dora nee Schmidt was born June 28, 1889 at Brushy Mound, in Macoupin Co., Illinois. She was baptized in the Christian faith on August 3, 1889 and was confirmed at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Gillespie, Illinois on April 16, 1905. She received her education in Illinois and came to this area as a young girl.

She was united in marriage to John L. Beermann on March 26, 1920 at St John's Lutheran Church of Germantown God blessed this union with two children.

Mr. and Mrs. Beermann lived in Paullina all of their married lives. Mrs. Beermann was a member of Zion Ladies Aid and was active in other affairs of her church in service to the Lord.

In 1944 Mr. and Mrs. Beermann's lives were saddened by the loss of their beloved son, Milan, who was killed in action during World War II in Europe.

Mrs. Beermann has been in failing health the past several years and was called to her eternal rest at her home on Saturday, Oct. 25, 1969 at the age of 80 years, 3 months, and 27 days.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, John, her daughter, Bernice, Mrs. F K. Schlegel of Northbrook, Illinois; two granddaughters, three sisters. Mrs. Edgar Unberzagt of Dorchester, Illinois, Mrs. Oscar Eggers of Dorchester, Illinois, and Mrs. A. Blauel of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and a great host of friends.
