Services Held Wed. For Mrs. Emma Fife

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma S. Fife were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 31 at the First Presbyterian church.

Mrs. Fife passed away October 29 at the Baum-Harmon hospital in Primghar. She had reached the age of 80 years, 1 month and 3 days.

Rev. Robert Hickman officiated at the services. Pallbearers were William Simm, Kenneth Bancroft, Simon Burnstrom, Dan Struve Sr., Dareld Johnson and Tom Harries. Mrs. Frances Schulz was organist and played "Ivory Palaces" Burial was in Prairie View cemetery under the care of the Gaudian Funeral Home.

Mrs. Fife, the former Emma Hellmann, was born September 26, 1893 at Paullina. She taught in rural schools in the Paullina area for a number of years. She was married to Ray Fife on July 6, 1917. He passed away in 1955.

Survivors include her two daughters, Marian, Mrs. Ralph Jalas of Sutherland, and Eleanor, Mrs. Leland Miller of Paullina, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
