Funeral services for Raymond F. Fife, 61, were held Monday afternoon at the Cowan and Gaudian funeral home, with burial in Prairie View cemetery. The Rev. L. R. Middents of the First Presbyterian church officiated.

Mr. Fife, a well-known resident of Paullina community his entire life, died of a heart attack Thursday evening. He had suffered from a heart condition for some time and collapsed at a local cafe.

He was born May 29, 1894. the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Fife, on the home farm, where the family now resides. He was educated in the country and town schools of the Paullina district. In addition to his farming activities, in recent years, he was well-known throughout northwest Iowa as a horse buyer.

Surviving are the widow, the former Emma Hellmann; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Marian) Jalas of Sutherland and Mrs. Leland (Eleanor) Miller of Paullina; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. John Bonner of
Jewell and Emma Fife of Rock Falls, Illinois.

Pallbearers were Dan Struve, George Rohwer, Merle Cave, Harry Bloodgood, Robert Beatty and Alva Moats. In charge of flowers were Dr. and Mrs. N E. Weems and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Harries of Sutherland. Music was furnished by Mrs. Harold DeJong and Mrs. J. W. Alix, with Mrs. Marvin Smith as organist.
