Funeral services for Terry Stevens, 36, Boone, son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Moeller of Hartley, will be held Thursday at the Baumgarten Funeral Home. Rev. Francis Mennenga of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church will officiate. Prior services will be held in Boone. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Hartley.

Terry Stevens of Boone, a Northwestern Railroad brakeman, was killed early Tuesday when he stepped in front of a moving freight train in the railroad yard at Belle Plaine.

Railroad officials said Stevens was brakeman on the train bound from Boone to Clinton. They said the train was switching and taking on cars in the Belle Plaine yard when the accident occurred.

Stevens was dead at the scene, officials said.

His immediate survivors are his wife, Sheryl Moeller Stevens and a son, Steen, and a daughter, Sharla. A complete obituary will be published next week.
