Services Held for Ernestine Breitbarth

Funeral services for Ernestine Breitbarth were held at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church in Hartley, Iowa on Friday, March 26. Reverend John Schauer officiated. The committal service was held at [West] Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina, Iowa, under the direction of the Baumgarten Funeral Home.

Obituary

Ernestine Mathilda Breitbarth, the daughter of John and Clara Beckfort Sohn, was born April 12, 1897, at Chicago, Illinois. She attended country school near Paullina, then graduated from Paullina High School. She worked at Long Nursing Home in Hartley for ten years.

She was united in marriage to Alfred Breitbarth on January 23, 1923, at Cherokee, Iowa. They made their home in Aurelia for twenty years, Battle Creek, Paullina, Primghar, May City in 1973 and Hartley, Iowa in 1979. She was a mameber of the A.A.L. She was always helpful to her neighbors and friends. She was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church at Hartley.

She passed away at Rock Rapids on March 23, 1993, at the age of 95. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband in 1979; and four brothers, John, Henry, Fred, and Carol Sohn.

Left to cherish her memory is one sister, Mrs. Harry (Mary) Kuehl of Anaheim, Chalifornia; along with other relatives and friends
