Ann Hibbing, the daughter of Henry and Emma Brinkert Hibbing, was born January 3, 1910 in O'Brien County, Iowa. On January 13, 1910 she received the sacrament of holy baptism by Pastor Oscar Horn in Saint John Lutheran Church. She was confirmed in the Christian faith on April 13, 1924, by Pastor Theodore Walfram, also in Saint John's Lutheran Church in Germantown.

Ann attended rural and parochial schools and the Paullina High School. She has made her home in Long Beach, California the past forty years, where she held membership in First Lutheran Church.

On Friday afternoon, February 1, 1980, she suffered a heart attack and entered Memorial Hospital in Long Beach, California where she suddenly passed away Sunday, February 3, 1980 at the age of 70 years and one month.

She is survived by two brothers, Ernest Hibbing of Paullina and Edward Hibbing of Long Beach, California; three sisters: Ida, Mrs. Richard Warnke of Prairie View Home in Sanborn; Alvina, Mrs. Leon Omer, and Ella, Mrs. Orville Hatfield, both of Paullina.

She was preceded in death by her parents' two sisters, Rose, Mrs. Albert Kruse, and Emma, Mrs. Frank Pauling; and five brothers, Henry, Emil, William, Herman, and Carl Hibbing.
