Henry Jansma Dies of Wounds

R. Jansma of Sheldon, received word Thanksgiving day that his son Henry Jansma died from wounds on the 4th of November. He left with the boys for Camp Dodge April 29th. Later he was transferred to Camp Davis, where he entrained for Overseas service. He was born at Hull, Iowa, and was over 22 years old. Frank and John Jansma of this place are brothers of the young man who gave his life for his country.

Note- Search a Grave records indicate Henry Jansma was the son of Romke and Petera Jansma. His date of birth was May 4,1896, and date of death was November 4, 1918. He is interred at East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon, Iowa.
