Floyd Werner Carlson, son of Frank and Tillie Carlson, was born on June 18, 1902, at Marcus, Iowa, and passed away on January 2, 1968, at the Primghar hospital. He was baptized at the Swedish Lutheran Church at Marcus.

On March 17, 1933, he was united in marriage to Marie Steuck. In 1934 he was confirmed at the Saint John's Lutheran Church at Sanborn, Iowa. Floyd spent many years working on a farm near Marcus.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Marie, one daughter, Betty, Mrs. Ronald Beerman of Paullina; three grandchildren and three brothers, namely, Glen of Salt Lake City, Utah, Wendell of Albert City, Iowa, and Carl of Paullina; one sister, Mildred, Mrs. Nobel Frederickson of Albert City.

Funeral services were conducted at the Gaudian Funeral Home in Paullina with burial at the Prairie View Cemetery there.
