Mary Moore Allison was my great aunt. Her brother was John Moore and was my great grandfather. John Moore married Jane Sandwith in Cumberland County, Eng and together they came to Ohio, Stark County, North Lawrence Twp. in August 1854. Although they had 11 children, only 4 survived, one of being my father's mother, Elizabeth Moore. My father, when he was a teen, rode a train out to Hiteman, IA to visit with John and Ann Dixon and especially because one of their sons, Thomas Dixon was the same age as my father, born 1893. Tom and his wife visited Ohio and in fact lived for a short time next door according to the 1920 Census for Akron, Ohio. Would like to have more info in re to Mary Allison's family.
