Violet Mae Entriken, 82, of Grants Pass died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, at her home.

Memorial services were held today at Redwood Grange with Ron Hayworth, pastor of Calvary Chapel, officiating. Chapel of the Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Contributions may be made to Lovejoy Hospice, 400 N.E. E St., Grants Pass, OR 97526.

She was born Violet Mae Parr on July 14, 1916, in Whiting, Iowa. On May 29, 1933, she married David Ralph Entriken in Sioux City, Iowa. She lived in Nebraska, Portland, Toledo, and California before moving to Grants Pass in 1962 from Gridley, Calif. She was a homemaker.

Entriken attended Calvary Chapel.

She enjoyed drawing, sewing, knitting, crocheting, flowers and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Donna Hefner of Athol, Idaho, and Sharon Harris of Merlin; six sons, Marlon Entriken of Columbus Falls, Mont., Dennis Entriken of Eureka, Mont., Rodney Entriken of Whitefish, Mont., Richard and Kevin Entriken, both of Grants Pass, and David Entriken of Oregon City; a brother, Neal Parr of South Sioux City, Neb.; three sisters, Annetta Artz, Mary Jane Lake and Joanne Cornell, all of South Sioux City, Neb.; 33 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Entriken, who died in 1949.
