Carrie Parr, a resident of San Jose, California for the past 6 years, passed away at the San Jose Hospital on February 26, 1977. She had reached the age of 65 years and 9 days.
She was born February 17, 1912, at Climbing Hill, Iowa; the daughter of Frank and Pearl Phillips Cook. She spent many years in Hornick, Iowa and later lived in So. Sioux City, Nebraska where she was a member of the First Methodist Church.
She was united in marriage to Laura Haakinson who preceded her in death in 1952. She was united in marriage to Everett Parr at San Jose, California.
Survivors include her husband, Everett Parr of San Jose, California; two sons, Burton A. Haakinson of San Jose, California and Roger A. Haakinson of Redwood City, California; one sister, Mrs. Opal Hayden of Gridley, California; three brothers, Harley Cook of Meridian, California, Leonard Cook of Sioux City, Iowa and Connie Cook of Sioux City, Iowa; and seven grandchildren.
