Maurice E. Hime

Maurice E. Hime, age 73, of Harrisonville, Missouri, died on June 18, 1983, in a hospital in Kansas City.

He was born at Blencoe, Iowa on August 31, 1909, the son of Wilbur and Bertha Marley Hime. He was married to Violet Harris on May 26, 1934. The couple made their home out of Avocado, Iowa, Atlantic, Iowa and Des Moines before moving to Harrisonville in 1979. He was a retired bookkeeper.

He was a member of the first Christian Church at Harrisonville.

Survivors include his wife, Violet, of Harrisonville; two sons, Richard and Roger, both of Raymore, Missouri; six sisters, Mrs. Luea Sorenson, Onawa, Iowa; Mrs. Paul (Violet) Vittitoe of Council Bluffs,Iowa; Mary Brokens of Brock, Nebraska; Mrs. Francis Clay of Jamestown, Missouri; Mrs. Bonnie Stevenson of Washington, Iowa and Mrs. Bruce (Evelyn) Purchase of Sioux City, Iowa; two brothers, Miles HIme of Omaha, Nebraska and George Hime of Fort Collins, Colorado and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant son, one brother and one sister.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, June 22, 1983, at 10:30 a.m. at Graceland cemetery at Blencoe, Iowa, with Rev. Everett Epperson officiating.
