Will Record No. 3, Page 446.
Admitted to Probate April 28, 1913

"I Tollef M. Tollefson, of St. Ansgar Township, in the County of Mitchell and State of Iowa, being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament.

FIRST: I order and direct that my executors hereinafter named pay all my just debts and funeral expenses as soon after my decease as conveniently may be.

SECOND: After the payment of such funeral expenses and debts, it is my will and I so direct that my executors pay to my son, John M.Tollefson, the sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1500.00) out of the proceeds of my estate as payment to him for services rendered me after he became of legal age. This sum shall be paid to him in addition to his proportionate share of the net amount of my estate.
THIRD: It is my will and I so direct that my executors pay to my son, George B. Tollefson, or his heirs, the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00) out of the proceeds of my estate in payment to him for services rendered me after he became of legal age. This sum to be paid him in addition to his proportionate share of my estate.

FOURTH: It is my will and I so direct that my executors pay to my son Martin A. Tollefson, or his heirs, the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) out of the proceeds of my estate as payment to him for services rendered to me after he became of legal age. This sum to be paid to him in addition to his proportionate share of my estate.
FIFTH: It is my will and I so direct that my executors pay to my son, Henry N. Tollefson, Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) out of the proceeds of my estate in addition to the sum which he shall receive as his proportionate share of the Estate.

SIXTH: It is my wish and I so direct that my executors cause to be paid to the following Missions, Home and Church of the United Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Church the following named sum:- To the Foreign Missions Two Hundred Dollars ($200), Home Missions Two Hundred Dollars ($200); Orphans Home, Beloit, Iowa, One Hundred Dollars ($100); Deaconess Home, Chicago, One Hundred Dollars ($100); Old Peoples Home, Wittenberg, Wisconsin, One Hundred Dollars ($100); The Church in St. Ansgar, Iowa,
Three Hundred Dollars ($300).
SEVENTH: It is my will and I so direct that my executors shall take into consideration the notes
which I now hold against my children and add the same to the total amount of my estate.

EIGHTH: It is my will and I so direct that each of my children shall have the privilige of selecting as mementos such articles of my personal effects and household goods as they may desire and it is my wish that my executors or any two of them shall see that the selections made shall be a just and proportionate division of the same.

NINTH: It is my wish and I so direct that all the rest and residue of my personal effects and household goods shall be disposed of by my executors at public or private sale at such a price as any two of them may consider right and for the interests of my estate.
TENTH: It is my wish and I so direct that my real estate not being situated so that it can be equally divided between my children to advantage that the same be sold at such a time and at such a price and on such terms as my executors, or any two of them shall deem to be for the best interests of my estate. It is also my wish and I so direct thay my executors, or any two of them, shall have full power and authority to convey the said real estate or any portion thereof for my estate.
ELEVENTH: It is my wish and I so direct that my real estate shall be appraised by three disinterested persons selected by the Court; that it be appraised in parcels so as to be sold to the best advantage to my estate.

TWELFTH: It is my wish and I so direct that should any of my children desire to purchase any of my real estate they shall have the first privilege of purchasing same at not less than the appraised price and on such terms as my executors, or any two of them may consider to the best interests of my estate.

THIRTEENTH: To my children, John M. Tollefson, George B. Tollefson, Martin A. Tollefson, Henry N. Tollefson, Mrs. Tillie Donhowe, Mrs. Jennie M. Halling and their heirs, I give, devise and bequeath, after all the foregoing bequests, my just debts and all expenses of administration of my estate have been paid, the net proceeds of my estate share and share alike.
To all my children, I give a fathers blessing.
Lastly, I make, constitute and appoint John M. Tollefson, Robert C. Lubiens and George B. Tollefson, without bonds, to be Executors of this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

IN TESTIMONY WEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my name to each of the two sheets hereto and affixed my seal the 8th day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve. Tollef M. Tollefson.
