Admitted to Probate
May 5, 1931.

“ Know all men by these Presents:
That I, John C. Sheldon, of the County of Mitchell and State of Iowa, being of full age and sound and disposing mind and memory, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me heretofore made, that is say:

First. I direct that all my just and lawful debts, the expenses of my last sickness and burial and of the administration of my estate be first paid, and subject thereto:

Second. I give, devise and bequeath to my wife, Margaret Sheldon, the use, income, rents and profits of my estate of every kind and nature whatsoever and wherever situated, for her sole use and benefit during her natural life. Should the income of my estate be insufficient to provide for her support and comfort, she shall have the right to use sufficient of the principal of my estate for her support and comfort, but in no case shall she use to exceed the sum of One Thousand ($1000) Dollars of the principal of my estate in any one year. This provision is made for my said wife in lieu of dower or other distributive share.

Third. Upon the death of my said wife, I give, devise and bequeath all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate of every kind and nature whatsoever and wherever situated to my sons, Fred Sheldon, John Glenn Sheldon and Thomas Guy Sheldon and to my daughters, Minnie L.Linton,
formerly Minnie L. Sheldon; Grace Kane, formerly Grace Sheldon; and Maude B. Nelson, formerly Maude B. Sheldon, to be divided equally, share and share alike, among the six
children named in this paragraph. Should any of my said children die prior to the decease of my said wife or prior to my death, their share shall go to their legal heirs. Should my wife die prior to my decease these bequests to my children shall go into effect immediately upon my death.

Fourth. I hereby nominate my wife, Margaret Sheldon, my daughter, Grace Kane and my son Thomas Guy Sheldon, to be the executors and trustees of this, my last will and testament and I request that my said executors and trustees shall not be required to furnish bond or other security for the faithful performance of their duty. I further direct that my said executors and trustees shall receive no compensation for their services, as I have taken into account and consideration for the matter of compensation in making the bequests herein set forth.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name at Osage, Mitchell County, Iowa, this
21 day of March, 1925. John C. Sheldon
