" I Lorenzo D. Piper, of Mitchell County,State of Iowa, being of lawful age and of sound disposing mind do hereby make and publish this my last will and testament as follows:

First.
I give and bequeath unto my wife Mary Jane Piper, all of my estate both real and personal of which I may die seized of wherever the same may be situated, the same to vest in her absolutely and to be disposed of or used in any manner which seems to her best.

Second.
I nominate my said wife, Mary Jane Piper to be the Executrix of this my last will and testament and direct that she be not required to give bond as such Executrix.

In witness whereof I have set my hand this 6th day of August, A.D. 1887. Lorenzo D. Piper

The foregoing instrument was at the date thereof
subscribed by Lorence D. Piper in our presence, and he at the same time declared it to be his last will and testament and by his request we signed our names, both in his presence and in the presence of each other.
