LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF
PRESTON K. BURDITT.

I, Preston K. Burditt, of the county of Mitchell, in the state of Iowa, being of full age and sound mind, that is to say;-

First. I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife, Mary Burditt, the following described real estate, to-wit,
Lots numbered 8, 9, 10, 11,& 12 in Block 232 in the City of Osage,Iowa, said lots being numbered according to the recorded plat thereof; also my farm situated in Mitchell County, Iowa, and described as follows, the East Half of the Northeast Quarter and the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter all being in Section 7, Township No. 97, Range No. 15 West of the 5th P.M. and containing 120 acres, be the same more or less, also any and all other property, real or personal, of which I may die seized and possessed, to have, hold and use with all the income and profits arising therefrom during the term of her natural life, and I also grant her power to sell and dispose of any of the above described property, either real or personal, if in her judgment she deems it for the best interests of herself or of my estate.

Second. At the death of my wife, Mary Burditt, any or all property that remains shall be divided equally between my four sons, as follows, George S. Burditt, Charles W. Burditt, Preston K. Burditt, Jr., and Herbert S. Burditt, share and share alike.

Third. The bequests made in paragraph First and Second hereof are made subject to the following, to-wit: I direct that my wife shall take care of and charge of my grand-daughter, Nettie Collins child of my deceased daughter, Lucy O. Collins, and properly clothe, feed, care for and educate her according to her station in life, and further in case of the death of my wife prior to the time that my said grand-daughter, Nettie, shall reach the age of sixteen years, I hereby direct my sons, George S. Charles W., Preston K., Jr. and Herbert B. to so care for and educate her according to her station in life until she reaches the age of sixteen years.

Fourth. I hereby nominate my wife, Mary Burditt, to be the Executrix of this, my Last Will and Testament, and I request that my said Executrix shall not be required to furnish bond or other security for the faithful performance of her duty.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and name at Osage, Iowa, this 12th day of March A.D. 1909
