Maurene H. Techau
Funeral for Maurene H. Techau, 65, of Council Bluffs will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran church with the Rev. Mark Kukkonen officiating.
Mrs. Techau died Sept. 6 at her home.
She was born in Shelby and graduated from Shelby High School. She was a secretary for 15 years at Lewis Central Middle School, retiring in 1995. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Techau and her husband, Ernest, were married 37 years.
Survivors in addition to her husband include two daughters, Tamara Nicholson of Boone and Tara McSorley of Council Bluffs; two sons, Tracy of Overland Park, Kan., and Troy of Ames; a sister, Julia Husz, of Council Bluffs; a brother, Marvin Brown, of Colorado; seven grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Mineola Cemetery.
Memorials may be offered to the Iowa State Fairgrounds Renovation Fund, Glen Miller Birthplace Society or Emanuel Lutheran Church.
