Anna Techau
SILVER CITY - Funeral for Anna Techau, 91, of Silver City will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Mineola.
Mrs. Techau died Feb. 20 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. She was born in Willsbach, Germany, and came to the United States in 1928. She worked for Dr. Brandt and received a volunteerism award from Gov. Terry Branstad. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Mineola.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick.
Survivors include a son, Fred Techau of Silver City; two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Betty) Lay of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Gerald (Lenora) Stogdill of Silver City; a sister, Amalie Wolf of Schwabich Hall, Germany; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Raynor-Hardiman Funeral Home in Glenwood. Burial will be in the Mineola Cemetery.
Memorials may be offered to St. John Lutheran Church in Mineola or the Silver City Ambulance.
