David Duanne Collins was born November 5, 1957 in Warren County, Iowa the son of Raymond M. Collins and Patty (Welshhans) Collins.

He was raised in Warren and Marion counties and attended Pleasantville schools. He was a truck driver for several companies, including Ben Shinn Trucking. He retired due to health reasons. In his spare time, David enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, fast cars and watching the History Channel.

He passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital at the age of 52 years, 10 months and 8 days.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Claira and Ross Welshhans; grandmother, Janey Collins and grandfather, George Irl “G.I.”.

He is survived by two daughters, Angie Galiffo of Columbus, Ohio and Aleisha Collins of Des Moines; son, Brian collins of Des Moines; mother, Patty Collins of Knoxville; 2 grandchildren, Sophia and Samantha and his siblings, Steve Collins, Ronnie Collins and Creta Garrison all of Knoxville.
