Rev. Bobbie Dow Seibert, Sr. was born November 3, 1921 in Albia, Iowa, the son of George Seibert and Teresa (Benton) Seibert.

He grew up in Albia and was a member of the Albia Fire Department and had a milk route.

On June 12, 1960 he was united in marriage to Ruby (Simpson) Sams in Des Moines, Iowa. The couple lived in the Des Moines area, Dubuque and Ames before moving to Atlantic, Iowa in 1973.

Bob started and built the United Pentecostal Church in Atlantic. While serving as the Pastor of the church, he continued to drive truck.
Bob was a people person and enjoyed helping others in any way he could. He also enjoyed watching Western movies.

He passed away on Friday, August 28, 2009 at Regency Care Center in Norwalk at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 25 days.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruby; grandchildren, Jenny Louise and Angela Jo; brothers, Jack Seibert & George Benton; sisters, Frances Weeks and Patty Lucille.

Survivors include his children, Denise Seibert of Norwalk, Cheryl (John) Dicks and Janice McNeal of Albia, Bobbie Seibert, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Robert Sams, Jack (Donna) Sams, and Doris (Mike) Simpson all of Atlantic, Charlotte (Carroll) Worthington of Pleasantville, Jim Sams of Florida, Norma (Tim) Butcher of Perryville, Maryland, Lonnie (Nancy) Sams of Washington state, and Ronnie (Nancy) Sams of Michigan; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Calvin Seibert of Pleasantville, Jim (Sharon) Seibert of Eagle Grove, Dick (Barb) Seibert of Des Moines; sisters, Georgina (Walt) Berry of Cedar Rapids and Kathryn (Bob) Burkman of Albia.

Burial: Gosport Cemetery, Rural Marion Co.
