Martin Lynn Horn was born January 21, 1959 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Roland Horn and Berniece (Draper) Horn.

While growing up in Ottumwa, Martin belonged to the Boy Scouts and received his Eagle Scout badge in 1973. In 1990 Martin graduated from Indian Hills College with a degree in Computer Science. Over the years he worked at Menards in St. Paul, Mosiers in Naperville, the Places Store in Red Oak and most recently with Donnelly Marketing where he worked as a programmer analyst for 18 years.

He enjoyed playing computer games, listening to music, and taking time to travel across the country to computer conventions. Martin was a very kind person that will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Martin passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 50 years, 7 months and 8 days.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include his parents, Roland (Berniece) Horn of Knoxville; sisters, Christina Cardenzana of Albia, Major Debra (James, Sr.) Gibson of Davenport; nieces, Andrea Barnes, Melissa Sisler, Felicia Gibson, Kimberly Gibson; nephew, James Gibson, Jr.; several great nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and many friends.

Burial: Pleasantville Cemetery
